It is a lovely color on you. [Her expression softens, her dark eyes focusing on the stack of fabric in her arms.] And there's no need. I have plenty of clothes and I don't wear this often.
[Rei is welcome to return the outfit but Justine won't press the matter or seek her out.]
I'll meet you in the kitchen once I get dressed.
[Justine hands over the stack of clothing and then steps back towards her room. It doesn't take her long to pull on a blouse, a nice skirt and head towards the kitchen. The toast is done but cold and Justine sets to making them coffee and pulling out jam and jellies from her fridge. She puts out a little plate of strawberries as well, placing them at the center of the table to make it clear that Rei is welcome to them if she wishes.]
[She smiles, and offers Justine a quick kiss on the cheek. She'll give it back, once it's cleaned up.]
No need, but I'd like to see you in this too. I'm sure you look wonderful.
[She dresses herself, careful, before taking a few moments to fuss over her hair, and gathering last night's clothes, before joining Justine in the kitchen. Dressed in her pant suit, she looks professional, but seeing the strawberries...Rei laughs softly, and moves to sit at the table. It's homey. And she's reminded with a pang of what it was like, back home.
[The coffee beeps softly and Justine pours them both a cup of the comforting dark liquid. She places the mug as well as cream in sugar in front of Rei with a warm smile before grabbing the fresh toast from the toaster oven, butter and some of the jams from the fridge. It doesn't take her long to set up a nice array for the breakfast table.]
How do you like your coffee? I don't have any flavorings.
[Justine will add light cream and a fair amount of sugar to her coffee.]
I also remade the toast. I hope that's alright.
[After their long shower the other toast was very hard.]
[It's a lovely array, and it was comforting. She made a soft noise, waiting for Justine to take her helpings, before putting a light amount of cream and sugar in her coffee.]
Remaking is fine. I don't know how long we were in the shower.
[She offered a quick smile as she reached for the toast. She only planned to take a little butter on hers.]
Don't worry about...flavorings you said? I'm not familiar with having anything but cream and sugar in my coffee.
[Physical releases have that effect though Justine doesn't exactly point that out. The night had been a little bit of a whirlwind of need and desperation and Justine hadn't wanted to leave things like that. Even if nothing else comes of the previous night and this morning, Justine wants the memory to be a pleasant one that can be cherished.]
Me too.
I like it when you're around Rei.
[In pretty much any sense of the word.]
It's been awhile since I've been this comfortable around someone. So, thank you.
[Justine was really lovely. And one of the first people she made friends with, she feels. Though...hearing that, she ducked her head briefly, smiling at her toast.]
[Justine smiles as she continues to pick at her breakfast. She'll have to go to work soon and put the unpleasant business of the unmasking behind her but she hopes that her and Rei can remain close.
It's the first time that she's had a friend like this.]

Maybe...one day, she'll return to that.]

[Justine can't help but smile as she reaches for a strawberry and bites into the sweet fruit.] It was a nice shower though. I hope you feel refreshed.
[Her own toast gets a light spread of butter and then strawberry jam on top of that.]
I don't usually take them either but there are vanilla flavors as well as hazelnut.

[She smiles a little as she spread butter on her toast, taking a bite.]
But more importantly...I enjoyed our shower too. Refreshed...I do feel content. Relaxed.
More then I have for awhile.
